ThyssenKrupp Supplies Materials Handling System For New Steel Plant In Brazil
ThyssenKrupp Robins is part of a group of ThyssenKrupp Foerdertechnik companies supplying and installing the complete raw materials handling system for Companhia Siderurgica do Atlantico (CSA) in Brazil, in the town of Santa Cruz, State of Rio de Janeiro. The new steel mill will produce 4.4 Mio tons per year of continuous cast steel slabs, primarily for the European and US markets.
The material handling system includes two Stacker/ Reclaimers for coke and coal, three Stacker/ Reclaimers for iron ore, limestone and pellets, and 39 belt conveyor totaling over 21 km in length.
