ThyssenKrupp Robins to Supply New Long Distance Conveyor System for Cortez Hills
ThyssenKrupp Robins has been chosen to design and supply a long distance conveyor system for the Cortez Hills gold mine in Nevada. The system consists of several individual conveyors totaling over nine miles in length.
Centerpiece of the project is a 38,000 ft long horizontally curved downhill conveyor - one of the longest single-flight conveyors in North America. Conveying capacity is set at 1000 tons per hour.
